Before we start in the first session, can you please introduce yourself and your background first?

Joshua Galloway:
Well, as you already know, my name is Joshua Galloway and I am the Founder & CEO of Lepricon

I have more than 20 years of experience in the video game industry and have been involved as a Vice-President at a blockchain-focused VC for the past four years.
My background includes producing and publishing AAA titles, MMO games, and mobile games as well as working with large US$ value venture funds for blockchain projects.

Let’s start with the first session.
PROJECT INTRODUCTION

1. Can you introduce Lepricon project and the current Lepricon operations team?

Joshua Galloway:
First Lepricon:

Lepricon is a community-governed prediction games platform structured as a Decentralised Autonomous Organisation. We will provide hyper-casual games for the general user which operate on a blockchain backbone via our native governance and platform token L3P.

The Lepricon platform also offers opportunities for staking and liquidity mining. Our platform will be open to third-party developers as a channel for the games they produce. In many ways an app store for prediction-based entertainment.

Lepricon is not a specifically a blockchain company — we are an entertainment company and our product is entertainment. We understand it is all about the users if we are to give value to our token. Blockchain helps us do it better with more transparency and trust.

As to the team — there is quite a few people, including a strong team of subject-expert advisors. Too many to name them all here but some key people:

My Co-Founder Stephen Browne, who has been involved in many blockchain projects.
Our gaming advisor, Andrew Pearson who is a subject matter and published author on anything and everything to do with gaming based on prediction.
Our Marketing advisor, Phil Ingram, who is a strategic marketer and brand builder who is looking at the challenge of building a hyper-casual gaming brand out there in the real world.

2. How does the Lepricon economic model work? What are the typical features of the Lepricon platform?

Joshua Galloway:
It is a Hybrid Economic model that combines elements of DeFi with games. We have a staking platform and we enhance yield with a portion of the income generated from our games and our NFT projects.

We call it a ‘circular token economy’ as we capture value from both DeFi and games and control the inflow and outflow of tokens into and out of the system.

There are many features but I think these are the most important:

- Fun, hyper-casual prediction games and mobile-first, desktop later
- User-created prediction pools
- On-chain random number generator — transparent and fair
- Automatic and fast payouts & withdrawals
- Continuous liquidity mining for stakers
- Community governance with token ownership.

3. What games will be available when Lepricon launches?

Joshua Galloway:
There are three initial games planned for launch or shortly after launch:

1. KQJ — a simple card turn prediction game

2. Bitpool — a Bitcoin binary options trading game

3. Fans Predict — a prediction game focused on real-world events, sports and eSports.

Once we are happy that everything is stable we will open the platform to third-party developers and will work very hard to grow the stable of games as quickly as we can, while maintaining quality.

4. What is the vision for Lepricon in the next three years?

Joshua Galloway:
There are so many possibilities for the Lepricon platform, and three years is a long time in such a fast-moving world! But at the core, we see Lepricon as an app store or marketplace with an ever-growing catalogue of first and third-party “on-chain” prediction games, all governed by the Lepricon community (those who hold the government token, L3P).

5. What makes Lepricon different from other prediction platforms?

Joshua Galloway:
The first thing I would talk about is speed. From an experience point of view, other prediction platforms that use ETH have difficulties with low transaction speeds and high gas fees. We are an ECR20 token at launch and we will use a relay from ETH to Polkadot which allows us to deliver much higher transactions per second (TPI) and lower per transaction gas fees.

The second thing I would say is that we will launch with real content. And we are focusing more resources on content development as Lepricon is an entertainment platform, not just a digital currency. Our governance token is a tool to enable us to provide an entertainment platform with real world revenue generating intentions, not the other way around.

1. As we know, every successful project has a few stories behind the scenes, what’s the story behind Lepricon success? What was that vision when it first emerged as an idea?

The short version is that my background is in video games, later getting involved in blockchain. What was obvious to me was that these two worlds are going to collide in a way which is profound and will change how we all access gaming from hypercasual to AAA titles. Lepricon is the first step down that road.

IDCRYPTO:
2. We all know that there are many problems with the Ethereum network: scalability issues, high gas costs, slow speeds, etc. So, why did you choose to build a token on the ERC-20 blockchain ecosystem? Why not build it on some scalable blockchain?

Joshua Galloway:
You are correct! However there are solutions. We just announced our partnership with RioDeFi who operate a super-chain RioChain. RioChain is a public Blockchain built on the Parity Substrate framework and fully compatible with the POLKADOT network. You can read about the announcement here

This partnership provides us a route to use Polkadot which means we can process more than 3000 transactions per second and considerably reduce the cost of gas.

3. How do I know that I’m getting $Lepriconio that is genuine & authentic, and not couterfeit, or if it has been tampered with during transit?

Joshua Galloway:
From a security point of view all of our smart contracts are pre-audited by our developers. In addition, all of our funds are held on trust with our licensed custodian. In relation to our token we are keeping a close watch on any fake or counterfeit projects that may emerge of Lepricon. If any are detected we will inform our community through our official channels.

4. As your mission is to become a decentralized prediction platforms and gaming, so how does Lepricoin will realize this mission? Can you briefly explain more about the prediction and gaming structure of Lepricon?

Our road to decentralization is part of our content plan which will be released in the coming weeks. But to tell you now some brief points.

We have determined that Lepricon will be fully decentralized within 30 months of the public token sale finishing. This will be achieved through our grant, referral and partner program in addition to the devesting of our treasury tokens. In this time period our governance model and framework will also be released to our community which provides them the necessary tools to make the important governance decisions.

5. How do you plan to show the world that your product is not just useless blockchain solution to a non-existing problem?
How does Lepriconio rate the importance of the user community?

Lepricon is not a “blockchain solution”. Lepricon is an entertainment company that offers a platform (think app store) for hyper-casual games. We use blockchain for transparency and trustworthiness and for our in-game token L3P that will create powerful incentives for the players. However, our main competitive focus is on the quality of the games that will be hosted on the Lepricon platform.

Do you have any series of educational articles explaining Lepricon ?

Joshua Galloway:
Hi Annabel — yes we are publishing articles to our new Medium Channel. The next one on Thursday is about Prediction markets and the one next Monday is about our structure as a DAO.

Now Lepricon and RioDefi have become partners because with the same vision, which is about community development through programs and activities that are useful when playing games.
Q. What is the strategy of Lepricon and RioDefi in introducing your project to non gamers?

Joshua Galloway:
As the project is an entertainment company that offers a hypercasual gaming experience marketing is not about the crypto community but about general users. The RioDeFi partnership allows us to give a better gaming experience, that is the most important thing.

Do you have developers building DeFi protocols and Dapps on the $Lepricon platform?

Joshua Galloway:
Initially we are launching with three games but by this time next year we plan to have many more and will be encouraging developers to build prediction games for our platform. We will have a grant and referral program that goes with this.

Alex Wen:
You guys are doing Ama’s in all group & almost answering same types of questions again n again? How do You feel about it?

Joshua Galloway:
Yes we are doing a lot of AMAs because we are very keen to get the message out. The same questions do come up because these are the things people want to know. I don’t mind answering then again and again. I am getting faster at typing the answers!
